Arizona National Guard’s Task Force Logistics supports COVID-19 efforts
FLAGSTAFF, Arizona – Members of the Arizona National Guard expanded their logistical surge mission capability across the State by partnering with a regional food bank in Northern Arizona to deliver emergency food boxes to citizens sheltering in place.
This effort is to support social distancing efforts to slow the spread of COVID19 in a region where it has become a serious threat.
“It is imperative that we to serve our rural communities by partnering with local stakeholders already in engaged in the fight and finding creative solutions to enhance their capabilities,” said Maj. Gen. Michael T. McGuire, Director of the Department of Emergency and Military Affairs. “Together we are making this an all community effort to defeat COVID-19.”
Right now our Guardsmen are supporting the Flagstaff Family Food Center (FFFC) with critical food preparation, distribution and home delivery services to meet this need.
