Tanesha Charity is a highly experienced transportation professional with over 20 years of expertise in supervising and coordinating organizational efficiencies. Currently serving as an Executive Officer for the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT), Tanesha plays a vital role in providing highway infrastructure and transportation services to safely connect people and drive economic empowerment. ADOT's mission is focused on being easy to work with, fostering collaboration, and maintaining a results-driven approach. In her capacity, Tanesha collaborates closely with leaders throughout ADOT to oversee project management for both short and long-term projects and programs. Working under the guidance of executive and senior leadership, she manages the design and implementation of major systems and programs that often require innovative approaches and new dimensions.

Tanesha brings a wealth of analytical and operational project support from project inception to completion. She is committed to developing strategies that enhance departmental processes and operations. Known for her willingness to embrace challenges and learn new methods, Tanesha's strong interpersonal skills enable her to build trust with colleagues and empower those under her leadership. She leads by example, willing to roll up her sleeves and find solutions that benefit the entire organization.

With a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and administration, as well as a master's in public administration, Tanesha possesses a solid educational foundation to support her professional endeavors. Prior to her current role, she served as the manager of administrative services at Valley Metro, where she played a key role in organizational efficiencies. A native of Arizona, Tanesha hails from the small town of Eloy. Outside of her professional pursuits, she finds joy in camping, reading, and cherishing time spent with loved ones.
